Yu-Gi-Oh Speed Duel Product Line Paused & Speed Duel Forbidden/Limited List Updated
Konami announced that the Speed Duel product line will stop for the forseeable future with the final release being, Battle City Finals in November 2024. They will continue to support any already announced tournaments, even updating the Forbidden List for the tournaments next week. They reassure fans that the non-skill cards are still playable in other formats so they are not a lost investment. Will this open the door for Rush Duel to enter the North American marketplace. No announcements have been made yet, but there is a fan base hoping to see that version hit our shores.
While we are including new content (like Noah, Duke, and Tristan), the Speed Duel releases are starting to re-tread a lot of familiar ground, so the product line will be pausing for a rest.
As always, Speed Duel cards are legal for TCG play and there will be continued OP support for Speed Duel so that Duelists can continue to play the format.
